Another tantalising prospect for all the Detroit heads from the clandestine figures behind the Son's Of The Dragon project. 'The Journey of Qui Niu' was probably the best cut from their self-titled 2x12" pack so it makes sense to rope in some wicked remixes from Echospace label head Steve Hitchell and the intriguing SQX character. Hitchell's CV313 'The D Mix' takes control first with a Detroit fortified version, digging the bass in like the best Mike Huckaby tracks while layering up lush late night atmospherics. The SQX reconstruction on the flip is our pick, revising the vibes to Berlin styles with elemental Basic Channel progressions and a heavy rolling bassline to grip the club. These won't last two minutes so any techno fans into the good stuff know what they need to do! -Boomkat

is a copious archive of electroacoustic ambiences (drone like) that is artistic as well as exploratory (methods & modes). These are finely crafted sound spaces that with a sharp ear will bring meaningful rewards. Perhaps best to listen with headphones and just above silence as Stephan's art is inclusive of the whole sound path and stereo field.
